Tips for Dealing with Car Fire Accident



Many owners who do not think the potential for fires is caused by negligence on the car instead. Smoking in cars, modifications involving the electrical system, one parking space, and transporting dangerous cargo are some examples of behavior that could result in a fire.

The owner needs to understand, the car always carry flammable materials and other content that can help the spread of fire, such as vehicle fuel, brake and clutch fluid, engine oil and power steering oil.

If already affected fire apes, here is direction for the driver and passengers when faced with that situation.

1. Currently there is smoke, do not panic! Try to remain calm so that further action can be performed.
2. Ensure that you are in a safe situation before helping others.
3. If there are other passengers, then make sure you open your door first and helps unlock the passenger side door of the other.
4. Immediately away from the burning car before the fire getting bigger.
5. Contact the nearest fire department.
6. Careful when trying to put out the fire. Use a fire extinguisher when the fire is relatively small. It should be noted; when the smoke appeared from the engine room does not mean it comes from the source of fire. The smoke could arise due to the engine overheating condition. 



Prevention

1. Avoid excessive to modify vehicles and reckless (at random).
2. Perform regular maintenance of your vehicle in authorized workshops.
3. Drive safely.
4. Parking the vehicle in a safe place.
5. Keep the engine room from flammable objects.
6. When bringing materials placed flammable so be sure to secure, tightly closed and away from heat sources.
7. Always be alert to the symptoms of the onset of fire.
8. Insure vehicles as a preventative measure.
